Mount View Estate was completed in May 2005. The property was purchased in November 2001 after Dan came upon it by accident yet immediately envisaged its potential. He designed it with an emphasis on 'entertaining' and 'lifestyle'. 'I wanted to build a special retreat in the Yarra Valley which maximised the views from all aspects of the property from the living areas in the house to the function area and pool,' Dan says. A recent corporate client stated, 'What fore-site Dan must have had to develop the property, using all the positives of the block.'

The entertainment area is modelled on one of
Bali 's most beautiful resorts which Dan had previously visited on holiday. 'The resort was definitely my inspiration but the resort didn't have a view like this', he muses. The decking brings finesse to the property complementing the theme of absolute luxury. 'I wanted something extraordinary, something people would talk about for years to come', Dan says.
